So I know about the hot water bottle culture in UK and I stumbled upon these stuffed animals with a microwavable ceramic bead pouch in TK Maxx and I'm just curious – have any of you guys ever bought from these?
I know they're suitable for children as young as 3 and the beads heat up for up to a minute in the microwave, so I kind of assume the stuffed animal wouldn't be as warm as to soothe cramps since, I mean, it has to be safe for kids. How does the heat from these compare to a hot water bottle with a polyester/fleece cover?
I attached a link to the one I am interested in but I'd guess all of them have similar heating properties, so I'd appreciate any of your opinions related to any of the stuffed animals in the series!

They work for my wife, the heaties product.
You need to be careful with hot water bottles and stuff though they can cause permanent damage to your skin.

They can be a lot hotter depending on how careful you are with the microwave. I’ve nearly burned myself on one before. I also had one where the pouch gave up and spilled the hot beads all over my microwave and kitchen.
Also they lose heat a lot slower and therefore carry a risk of overheating or even fire if put beneath covers such as blankets or a duvet. The fire service warn against these and the wheat bag microwave pads/animals for this reason.
All of that said, if you are very careful they can be a nice gentle warmth, although personally I find the ones with a removable bag end up with heat just in one spot, I prefer the wheat ones where the wheat tends to be in more of the animal. I very rarely heat them up however.
Weird to go to the expense of ceramic beads, you’ve been able to get bags filled with grain for years
