For the past few months, I’ve been seeing the same guy almost every morning while commuting. We tend to lock eyes/look away/look back at each other almost every time we see each other.

I finally decided to make a move with a simple note with a “text me” and my name and number.

I timed it perfectly. When my train was coming in, I approached him. He had his AirPods in and was on his phone so I gently tapped his arm, handed him the note, and said “this is for you.” Tbh, I don’t think he even heard me but the expression on his face was the most bewildered I have ever seen someone. My hands were literally shaking as I waved the note in front of him and walked away onto the train after a brief moment of eye contact. I felt immense relief because I’d been trying to approach him for 2 weeks and kept freaking out about it.

It’s been a couple of days now and he hasn’t texted. Now I’m wondering:

Did I misread the interest?

Or was he just caught off guard and doesn’t know how to respond? Maybe I was too bold…

Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on this scenario.
