I think the modern-day royal family is losing its relevance especially because they have a very minimal political power, yet their expenses are funded by taxpayers.(especially in the UK)
When I read the news regarding the offical events that they participate in, it's hard to figure out what is the point of what they're doing. Most of their brief outings aim to support communities, workers, or victims, but I wonder what they can offer to 'practically' help their situations, and usually, all the attention only goes to what the royals wear, what hair colour they've done, how well they look, or what they reveal about their young, royal children.
Are present day royal family worth it?
What do you think about the royal family in your country? (Spain, Netherland, Norway, UK, etc)
Apart from balcony service, national days of celebration or mourning, and state banquets for a goodwill, what impact do they have on nation?
