Something was put in my mailbox yesterday. It was a notebook I left at our apartment with a picture of the dog we had together, and inside the front cover he wrote “I hope you’re doing okay. I hope you have an amazing birthday (my name).
It was not in an envelope, he literally had to have driven by, dropped it off, and left. He is off on Fridays so I know he went out of his way to do this. My birthday is tomorrow. I don’t know why he would do this or what he expects me to do with it but I feel like I should completely ignore it. He cheated on me a lot during our 6 years so I honestly feel for the girl he’s with if she doesn’t know about this. I would imagine she wouldn’t be happy. The last time I saw him, he was screaming at me and pushing me out of our apartment. I just need some advice on how to handle it. I don’t want to get a surprise text if I don’t respond, but I know that’s what’s coming.
