  1. What are you having for lunch today? I’m planning a lazy meal – boiled potatoes with skin (i’ll peel them once cooked) and baked pork belly smeared with garlic and paprika

  2. Yesterday’s prompt was weave, so here’s a [spider](https://www.deviantart.com/tereyaglikedi/art/Inktober-2025-Day-2-Weave-1248346644). It’s a bit simple but I was tired and I mean, it’s a spider, so…

With AI -generated pictures and music now becoming ubiquitous, I watched one of those [can you tell if it’s AI -generated music](https://youtu.be/3XVfWmpnc2A?si=-1YHnQqFFK_yUJc1) videos (I watched another one but that one was super obvious since the “real” music they used was pretty common stuff that one would be familiar with as a classical music enthusiast). And… I got two wrong 😅 won’t say which ones in case you want to try out. These are a bit tricky, since they’re just short excerpts (one thing that’s missing in AI is the intent. You have these odd phrases that lead to nowhere) it’s hard to judge continuity. The other is the sound quality of your average YouTube video, may not always be good for nuances. But I guess if you’re a TV producer looking for some background, these would work in a pinch. Then again those often pull their stuff from stock libraries anyway.

I picked the last of the tomatoes, and need to bring my tender plants indoors before they get frost damage. Maybe I will also put on a massive shawl and beanie, and stroll along the fallen leaves with a coffee cup (I won’t).

  3. [TIL you can actually create a permanent hole in your septum from years of excessive nosepicking.](https://share.google/XBGtD7CZJbqGagGQK). How could evolution have allowed this to happen? If the scientists are right, then the fact that our supposed ape cousins [pick their noses too](https://share.google/futIQiGstoLhxKYX5) would surely indicate that our nosepicking habits go back several million years at the very least, and surely, *surely* this would be enough time to a) evolve nostrils that are unable to comfortably fit a human index finger and b) evolve nasal cartilage that can withstand the force of even the most aggressive nosepicking session?

Have I just proved that the theory of evolution isn’t real? Did God in fact give us fragile septa to *test* us, to constantly make us prove Him that we have been made in His image and are distinct from other animals? Can I make money off this gap in human knowledge somehow by preaching to poor gullible people in Alabama? I have so many questions.

  4. Listening to Charli xcx’s Everything is Romantic (what a bop btw) I all of a sudden realised that at one point she sings “sandals on the **stirrups** of the scooter”. I’ve never heard them called stirrups. Is this a British thing? I’ve always only just heard foot pegs. Are the Br*tish just so posh that they insist using horse terminology when describing their holiday trips where they rented a Vespa in Capri? Do they also call the handlebar a bridle?

I Wikipediad “scooter” to cmd+f if the word stirrup comes up, but it took me to the Wikipedia page for Scooter the German rave band. So now I’m listening to How Much is the Fish. Absolute giga banger.
