Mums what’s one thing you hate about motherhood?

  1. I guess I don’t really hate anything bc I have an equal partner so parenting isn’t as hard as it is for some others who are doing it all on their own.

I would say my least favorite part of it is you’re constantly getting up from your seat. But the constant moving helped me lose 80 pounds so I guess I can’t even say I hate that all that much. But some days you’d like to just lounge.

  2. The newborn stage. The sleep deprivation is un*real* and it’s impossible to do anything but care for the baby. Plus I had postpartum depression, which made it even more awful.

Luckily, it generally got more fun as Son got older (with the exception of Three, wtf was that). Elementary school was fun. Middle school was surprisingly fun. I miss the teenage years the most. He’s 18 now and we’re having a blast.

  3. Tummy bugs. They always pass it on to me and we all end up with the symptoms 🤢😷

    And laundry piles after 🙄

  4. The guilt. Every decision I think about how this will effect her long term and I always think I’m making the wrong choice

  5. The uncertainty. I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. In my mind, every problem was my fault and every problem-fee period was “too easy”.

  6. Knowing that once he grows up, there’s a world of people out there with bad intentions.

  7. Inability to rot. I want to sit down to extended time. I want a pj day. I want to stuff my face. I don’t want 75 frights from a toddler launching himself off something.
I miss warm coffee. I miss getting up and throwing on clothes and out the door.
Having said that those days will return.
