I recently finished up my second year of therapy and a couple of weeks ago was the start of my junior year of college and I decided that I am ready to put more effort into dating. The thing is, I have no clue on what to do. I've never had a girlfriend before and TBH the thought of approaching a woman is scary for me.
I've tried getting advice from my mom and sisters but it's always the same thing: just be yourself and they'll like you. The thing is being myself is being a shy and introverted nerd that loves being by myself and reading.
Over the last couple of weeks I have gone to places that I never thought I would go to before. I went to bars and frat parties around campus. Every time I saw a woman that I was interested in, she was either surrounded by a couple guys who were better looking than me or I would say hi and get instantly rejected. So I'm at a lose at what to do because I want to date and enjoy life but I just don't feel like I'm attractive enough for the women around me.
Any advice would be appreciated.
