So I met someone on TikTok who has very niche taste on animation. They love a Disney animated movie (won’t name it) and it’s the same one I love. I wanted to be friends with this guy because he kept getting hate for his love from this movie then I defended him from the hate comments vigorously. Then he accepts my Dm request and says his dms are full but he appreciates the help. He puts his discord in his Tiktok and I add him because I figure I want to talk to him more. We talk on discord for about a month and we get to know each other personally. We show each other our faces. I send him money when he needs it and everything went fine. I sent him money because I figured he was famous enough and wanted to stand out. He also mentions how the money isn’t what makes him from loving me, it’s the bonding and emotional support.
So you’re probably asking what’s wrong? Well he asks for nitro one day and I accept his request and give him the nitro. Then he tells me he wants me to give his close friend nitro because he would feel bad. I say okay and do it.
Then the friend blocks me and the dude is shocked saying he trusted him with all his heart. We still talk one on one but he eventually confesses he hacked the semi popular TikTok acc and the discord he put in the TikToks story was to earn money. I tried to tell him I wasn’t mad because I wanted to ease the situation but I wanted the original dude to get his acc back. He said he needed a break to think about what he’s done and that soon I’ll be able to talk to him. He said he will take a break for a month but the original tiktoker will come back in a few days.
What do I make of this? Was this a scam from day 1? Was there ever a tiktoker? Or was it the same person who didn’t want to admit it? Should I even care anymore?
