Recently I have been noticing a trend of people talking over each other and not getting their point across. I will definitely put my hands up and say I am too, guilty of this anti social behaviour but I am trying to work on it. How I've been doing so is by putting my hand on my mouth and quickly saying "sorry I interrupted you" and let them talk. I usually think that people may auto correct and say I am sorry to interrupt but they keep going on in their point.

I have heavily noticed this with my flatmate who asks for clarification in the middle of me explaining stuff. like i am trying to make a point but I don't get to it in the end because another question just pops up in the middle of the conversation. also just cutting me off in the middle of what i am saying.

It is getting to the point that I just don't feel like continuing conversations anymore or turning into a dick by making a very long pause I.e : if its on a phone call to which people ask "Are you still there" and I go "Yes I am just waiting for you to stop talking so I can respond."

I know I am guilty of this but it is affecting to the point that I just dont feel like conversing with someone anymore or just pre thinking that they will interupt me and like fuck it I will just stay quiet or just try and avoid them.
