My wife and I ( 13 years together, 7 years married – 2 children ) just got the worst news we could imagine. For context, my wife and her mom are literally best friends, they talk or FaceTime every single day while also only living 15 minutes away from eachother. She truly is one of the most incredible people I know and is only in her early 60’s. The entire family is beyond heartbroken, without rambling on about how sad we are im reaching out to Reddit for some advice/input on how to move forward.

I’m worried about depression for my wife who already struggles with it and is on anti-depression medication and caretaker burnout for myself while I’m picking up the extra slack to make life as normal as possible for our kids ( both under 7 ) who are very close to their nana. Being a typical blue collar man I’m not much for opening up, but we have a long and hard road ahead of us and anything is appreciated if you have or know someone that has gone through something like this.. Thank you for your time.
