I was never a very active person or a person who has a lot of energy naturally but I used to always find time for the gym or a walk around the neighborhood at minimum. I've put on a lot of weight since being busy with work, kids, and life in general. I'm at my heaviest and I hate that I've gotten here.

I feel like I have crappy energy. It affects my motivation as well. I heard being in good shape can help you be more energetic. Is that true? The process of losing weight makes you so tired too though doesnt it? I remember being in a calorie deficit in my college days when I used to hit the gym and I would nap every day after my classes.

I know losing weight/fat has tons of benefits overall but just trying to understand what benefits it has in terms of energy. Thx.
