Hiii I’m a psychology student and I have an assignment for my Industrial/Organizational Psychology class. I’m required to interview someone who works in an established company. The goal is to learn about their position and job description for a job analysis project.

It doesn’t have to be a specific type of employee — as long as they hold a role within the company’s organizational structure (e.g., admin staff, supervisor, HR, etc.), it’s fine.

Any tips on how to approach employees politely without looking weird or bothering them during work? Should I go through the receptionist/front desk first, or just directly ask someone when they don’t look busy?

Any advice or personal experience would really help. Thanks in advance!
