So my maternal side has extraordinary anti-greying genes. My mom is in her 60s and no visible grey hair, her mom went into her 90s with salt and pepper mostly pepper. I recently saw a colored photo of her maternal grandfather from thanksgiving when he was 82 and lo and behold, his scalp hair is at most 15% grey. I mean I suppose he could dye it, but were elderly men born in the 1890s common to hair dying at that point? I somehow doubt it.

No clue about my dad cause he went bald before he turned 30 (thanks for those genes btw). But I am wondering how common is this?
