Me and my best friend were at a festival – at festivals we love making friends and these 2 guys came to talk to us and it seemed to be good vibes and flirty and stuff. We told them our other friends were coming, and we hung out with them for like 20/30 mins. We danced with them and it was all good. Our other friends showed up – who happen to be guys – and the 2 guys got immediately awkward and subtly ran away when we were greeting our friends. So I went after one of them to ask him if he had instagram and he was very very awkward and insisted that he doesn’t use it, so I said “you don’t have to give me your instagram” but he did regardless.
Later on, we saw them again so I went to say hi and they pretended not to see me, so I waited, and one of the guys asked me if I have a cigarette for his friend, and my best friend gave him one and while that was happening they ran away again.
It makes no sense why they got really mean and awkward out of nowhere. Our guy friends are not mean, and they have girlfriends so it’s not like we are with them romantically.
Also, the guy denied my request on instagram so I was so confused as to what we even did.
Why would they suddenly switch up and start running away? It’s so jarring and got under my skin.
