Hey, so my manager came by to check in. I said I was “hanging in there” and asked him how he was, he said good. Then he asked about my weekend and I said “not long enough.”
After that, the convo felt kinda awkward. He talked about his weekend and school work, I gave a short reply, he said “no problem” when I thanked him, and then walked off.
I’m usually pretty upbeat when he sees me, and he hired me, so now I feel embarrassed. Did I do anything wrong here or am I just overthinking this tiny work talk? I feel so unprofessional.
