I am talking to this guy, who I know is smart and is finishing his MA. I had class with him and previously worked with him, so I know how he speaks, and it is intelligible, but we recently started texting, and I do not understand. He does not message in complete sentences or type out the whole word; there are spelling and grammatical errors.
EX: wha u mean OR yea me roo OR wait wY
Could it be due to being busy or how he messages versus how he engages in real life? Why does it bother me so much? It makes me feel as though he is not as smart and as if he is lazy. I hate assuming that and do not know how to approach him.
I am also not saying my grammar is ever perfect, as I have a mild traumatic brain injury, and it takes me a bit to check things. Appreciate any honest feedback.
