I always thought of recording myself talk with people, casual small talk with everyday people, so I can reflect on what I can change, I have two concerns :

  1. People finding out I record them by accident, do I explain to them, do I tell them before?

  2. Can it really make me communicate better, or just make me even awkward since I will be rehearsing in my head or not having much to say by fear of repeating bad habits.

If anyone came across doing this, did it help ?

  1. All posts must directly relate to learning one or more specific **social skills**

**Social skills** are a set of learned abilities for interaction and communication with others

    – In your post, state: what **social skills** you want to learn.

    – Stick to the point; posts with excessive introspective musings, rants, complaints, etc. are off-topic and will be removed.

    – We are not a therapy or mental health sub. “Deep” questions about character or personality traits, abuse, trauma, childhood issues, parenting issues, etc are off-topic.

    – Please use dedicated subs such as r/dating_advice or r/relationships for any questions about dating or relationships

  2. I think is a courtesy thing to let them know you’re recording and whether they are comfortable out of common decency.

Of not that could you try making like talking vids on youtube or something? Don’t even need to make public but talking to yourself is better than nothing at all.
