What to do outside with friends while hanging out?
August 24, 2025
I've been living in a not really safe countryside and obviously i don't really have the habit of hanging out with friends outside. Now i'm moving to a city and i don't really know how to make people feel comfortable and joyful around me.

As cliche as it sounds, those feelings begin on the inside. Others will pick up on your feelings (maybe not 100%, or we’d be ants) and mirror them somewhat.
It will be easier to find people doing things you enjoy or want to try than to try and organize them to do those things.
Sports is a good entry, if you’re into that stuff. Playing soccer as an adult granted me access to various social groups, from beginners to physical activity, to college teammates, to “beer soccer,” which was a group of college-to-middle-aged people united by beer as a reward for physical activity.
Probably options at your local public library, too. After applying for a card, my library sends a list of monthly activities for both kids and adults.
