I really liked a lot of things about him since we had similar experiences as kids and the same career. We went on a couple dates he was over 30 mins late to the last one. He would also bring up his ex a lot and seemed to be a lot more busy the week before I broke things off. Anyway I abruptly ended things with him and said I’m moving on. I couldn’t handle hearing about his ex or the fact that he wanted to keep his options open while also trying to imagine a relationship so I cut him off. Anyway, I really miss getting to know him and wanted to reach back out to apologize for being so sudden and ask if he’d be interested in giving our relationship another chance. Not even sure if he cares about me. All this happened a few months ago. Should I give it a shot as friends? I would never feel respected and secure in a relationship with him but I would feel okay being platonic friends. Most of my friends are always late and I like hearing about their love life.
