I ask this mainly as I have. I’m part of the generation where we were the first adopters of smartphones. I can remember ‘life before’ but growing up has mainly revolved with them being about

I’ve found my ability to focus on concentrate decreasing. I ‘second screen’ when watching a film on Netflix for example unless it really grabs me

Longer form videos even on YouTube I find myself increasing the playback speed

If a book doesn’t grab me early on I won’t continue it now; I grew up being encapsulated reading the Harry Potter saga for example

I frequently aimlessly scroll; check apps etc for notifications. (Also have a smart watch which receives notifications, I don’t actively click into the apps on it)

For those of who you who found yourself in a similar position; how have you combatted this and ‘reversed it’ ?
