Basically i read a similar post sometimes ago. I cant find it anymore but i'am interest by the concept of watching a show from every country.
I would start by Europe and see how I enjoy it. I guess it will be hard to find a show for some small country like Monaco or San Marino but well.
So advice with show I should watch from your country (or even other). I will make a list and watch that.

Pitbull.
In the 90′ we had a serious problem with organised crime that we had to solve in order to enter the EU. We had actual mafia wars and newly formed police (newly formed, because before 90′ we had unorganised, chaotic formation called “milicja obywatelska”) had to deal with mafia, very well organised and armed.
This series depicts the reality with true crime scenarios. Most of the cases shown in the series is based on actual events. Very good and credible. I’m not sure if you will able to find English subtitles tho.
Acting is top notch with the biggest stars of our industry and the psychotic, cruel vive is absolutely unique.
I really like “Pôr do Sol” which is a very well made satire of usual tv novela’s tropes, but you kind of need to know about those tropes to get the jokes.
Other than that “Rabo de Peixe” which is on Netflix is very, very good as well.
For Portugal, I would recommend Glória. Otherwise you can try Rabo de Peixe from Netflix, but that’s just your average Netflix series
Hello from France.
I would recommend Kaamelot.
A French series on the legend of Arthur.
But they are all…. Simpletons.
Undercover is a great one or so I’ve heard, It’s on Netflix. Toon (also on Netflix) looks great too. I haven’t seen them yet though so can’t say much about it
From Ireland my recommendation is either ‘Hands’ from the 1970s (traditional Irish craft documentary series) or Father Ted (90s comedy about the priesthood) or Derry Girls (recent comedy set in the 90s during ‘the troubles’ in Northern Ireland.)
One of the more popular ones was *Der Bestatter (The Undertaker)* were Luc Conrad, an ex-detective is working undertaker, finds suspicious stuff on bodies and then aides the actual detectives in solving the case. One of them happens to be his ex-girlfriend.
It’s even dubbed into English and aired on MHz Networks.
Norway🇳🇴
Great comedy show from the early 2000’s called «Skli meg i dåsa». It’s about a young guy trying to find his place in the society at the time. A little like that’s 70s show, but a more individualistic approach and narration. It’s hilarious!
«Mot i brøstet» is also funny, but nothing near the levels of «skli meg i dåsa».
To be honest, there isn’t that much to choose from, but I’d say Padomju džinsi (Soviet jeans)
Series about the manufacturing and selling of jeans in the Soviet times, which was illegal. It shows all the absurdities and corruption of the Soviet regime. It has some jokes a foreigner would maybe not understand, but overall, it’s a solid series.
For Germany: Der Tatortreiniger. It’s about the work of a crime scene cleaner, but it’s not a crime series. It’s comedy, reflects on life, death, and human quirks, strongly using dark humour. Each episode starts with a new body, but the real focus is on the encounters with relatives, neighbors, or strangers connected to the deceased, which often are pretty absurd.
My favourite is Дървото на живота (The Tree of Life), a historical drama/soap opera/action/crime series. It is ebtertaining, fun, dramatic and engaging, I love it.
My second best recommendation would be Четвърта власт (Fourth Power), a drama series about journalistic investigations of corruption of crime, praised for its realism and good writing, that was stopped after one season due to alleged pressure from higher-ups.
My third one would be Под прикритие (Undercover), a crime/action/comedy series and probably the most successful Bulgarian TV series of all time. It started out a bit slow, then became great, then became a bit annoyongly full of itself, but it is the most easily accessible of the three.
Abother recommendation would be Съни бийч, (Sunny Beach), a dramedy about the life of high class hotel employees in the Bulgarian holiday capital Sunny Beach. It strongly resembles the US TV show Las Vegas, but is a bit more comedic in nature.
I would suggest The Thick of It for the UK.
You might need to watch some episodes a couple of times, and I’d suggest subtitles even if you are an English native speaker as the lines come thick and fast from the actors.
The insults are incredible (they had a swearing consultant for the show).
ZDF Magazin Royal. It’s similar to Last Week Tonight if you know that. But it being German gives it a certain flair that I like.
For Croatia it’s probably Novine (The Paper) or maybe Počivali u miru (Rest in Peace). The first one is dealing with corruption through the lense of daily paper. The second one is about a young journalist uncovering stories of inmates burried at an old prison cemetery.
