I used to work in hardware sales, then was in college for trades, then worked as a welder. I was in almost men's only environments for quite a few years (not that women weren't allowed or welcome, just that's how it was/ separate story).

Meanwhile, most of my friends have for quite some years, been women. I love them enormously. The past year or so I have had an amazing opportunity to step back from the workforce and review my life. Not an opportunity one usually gets in their 30s, to basically live retired. So most of that time has been amazingly, spent with friends and family and myself. Not complaining AT ALL.

Thing is recently, I am discovering…. I miss my shop bros. My doing shit together guys. We didn't get along on everything. There was a lot they thought that I did not….and yet we dealt with shit customers together, worked hard and accomplished projects together, talked and had good conversations, and just…. were men in space together. And I miss that.

My next line of work is not going to be a group endeavor in the same way and will likely be research based. My hobbies are mostly solo currently.

Suggestions for where I can, aside from bars, meet other dudes to do things together? What hobbies might be a good idea to try? Or places to go?

Thanks guys!
