I didnt have anyone to use with at the time so I tested them. The pasante ones i struggled to put on. By that i mean they did go on but never rolled down all the way. Most of the time they split while putting them on.
Someone advised me to try other brands since the pasante ones clinics give can be a bit cheap so I got some durex thin feel in both regular and xl.
With the regular ones I could put them on easier and they rolled basically all the way down. However when testing them while using a flashlight I have the same issue where they would split, normally while pushing deeply. This was the same issue with the xl size, it would fit just a bit more creased, but still split.
I am uncut and probably have some slight phimosis. When erect I can manual pull the foreskin back about halfway on the glands but not more. Onces it's loosed a bit the foreskin go there automatically while thrusting. When using the condoms I just use it over the foreskin but try to add a little more room at the head to account for the foreskin movement.

Does anyone have advise? At the moment I have no confidence to meet someone and have sex. I am on PrEP, so technically I could not use a condom, but ideally I'd like to for actual penetrative sex.
Should I try more brands and ranges?
I don't know my actual dick size. Just never felt the need to measure since I'm happy with it. I think it's around 6 or 7 inches, no idea girth.

Hmm. If they fit properly they should not break, and in my experience most “regular” condoms are too tight for the guys wearing them and even a larger size is better provided it stays on. I’d try some more brands and sizes. If you measured your dick it might be bigger than you’d expect
Just to ask the stupid questions, are you using enough lube with the Fleshlight? Using one of those dry seems likely to wreck a condom.
Also, you’re using water based lube right? Silicone and some other lubes can break later down making the condoms more likely to fail.
If those aren’t your issue, measure your shit and find an online fit calculator. That’s going to a faster easy of finding your right size than buying random condoms and hoping for the best.
Condoms splitting while putting them on indicates one (or both) of two things to me:
– the condom has degraded, possibly due to being stored in a hot environment like a wallet, or the glovebox of your car
– they’re being put onto something with girth significantly larger than they’re designed for
Measure your girth when erect. You can wrap a piece of string around, mark it, and measure the string with a ruler if you don’t have a tape measure. Measure at the widest point.
Having the XL Durex split while using a fleshlight could be because the fleshlight material is producing more friction against the latex than someone’s anus would. If it’s grabbing and catching the latex, it can tear very quickly.
What sort of lube are you using? Nothing oil based with condoms, right?
The main thing is to ensure you’re using the right size condom, so measure your girth!
I had the same problem when I first started out and it killed my confidence for a while. Turned out it wasn’t the size so much as the fit and how I was putting them on. Using lube inside the condom at the tip helped a lot with foreskin movement, and plenty of water based lube outside stopped the breakage during deep thrusts. I also found that trying a few different brands made a huge difference, some just tear easier than others. Once I figured that out, the anxiety went down and sex felt way less stressful.
