I have a female friend whom I met a couple months back online, 3 months prior to meeting my romantic partner. This friend and I flirted on/off till she said she wasn't interested in a relationship, hung up on her ex. We stopped. Then I met my partner, and everything's great.
For some reason, she'd mention my partner alot.
This friend recently moved to a new city nearby mine for studies, and is very insistent for me to visit her city. Mind you, we've never met. She's mentioned it atleast 8 times now. I told her we'll see.
Later i tried to clarify saying I hope we both know we are platonic friends. She responded with how I'm too generous, us being really good friends and if me and my partner have any issues regarding this.
