My fiancé and I are putting together our guest list for our wedding in Feb. 2027 and we butt heads over a childhood friend of his.

In the beginning of our relationship (~5 years ago) she had a really nasty attitude about our relationship, made passive aggressive jokes/comments to him about me, and acted really entitled to his attention. It caused a strain in their relationship (they did, however, resolve their conflict because she quote “wanted to come to our wedding”).

Though they’ve made up and I’ve confronted her about it and reached a polite resolution, I still don’t trust her energy enough to have her attend our wedding. Though he says he won’t fight me on it, he contradicts himself as he claims he “doesn’t wanna deal with her negative reaction so he may wanna just buckle and invite her”

Our wedding day is special and I don’t want anyone there who I have to question their motives toward him, me, or our relationship, whether it was 5 years ago or 5 minutes ago. Am I being unreasonable for digging my feet in on not inviting her?
