I saw condoms in my husband’s toiletry bag months ago. I figured they were from a long time ago as we don’t use condoms anymore because I’m on birth control.
Well today I was organizing and saw the toiletry bag shoved in the back corner under the sink. I randomly decided to look in it (intuitively I suppose?)…and the condoms are gone with one left.
I’m trying to think of any possible reason outside of an affair that they’d be gone. No, he doesn’t use condoms to masturbate. No he wouldn’t randomly throw them out…one is still there.
I haven’t seen a change in behavior. The only change in routine would be leaving to work earlier than he used to. But I didn’t give that much thought as he is the man in charge at his job and has always worked long hours. I would be shocked if he was having an affair. He is an honest, loving man who is a great father and husband. I realize everyone says that before it happens to them.
I’m going to calmly talk to him tonight without accusation. I guess I’m just curious for those who have experienced something similar…was your partner honest with you? What was the outcome? Am I foolish for just talking to him instead of looking through his phone for evidence? I truly would be beside myself if it’s an affair. We have three kids and 11 years between us. This is the worst feeling.
