I'm almost 40 and have been called to do jury duty twice in my life. A work colleague is in his 50's and has never been asked.
I have worked all my life and am a homeowner.
He lives in a council flat, and despite also having worked all his life, did claim state benefits for a year after being hospitalised due to having a nervous breakdown because of a bitter divorce.
He's convinced this is why he has never been called to jury duty, and someone like myself has been asked more than once. He's a great guy, very compassionate, intelligent and knowledgable. He'd be great on a jury. Does anyone know if there's any possibility he might be correct?
