For context.. I found 2 stray kittens hanging around my flat for around a week.
I assumed they were strays.. since they were out at all hours even at 2am when I get home from work. rspca nor cats protection would help. Since they weren’t injured or pregnant.
Anyway I managed to find the owner! Turns out they aren’t stray.. and in the house they have two nursing mama cats with a multitude of kittens! And she proudly tells me “oh this is her second litter I’m looking to re home the kittens if you want one”
My question is why on earth would anyone be doing this? She isn’t selling the kittens she’s giving them away for free!! So it’s not like she’s making money off her ever pregnant cats? Which would still be awful but would at least explain it?
She didn’t know me we’ve never spoken (I found out who they belonged to by asking another neighbour) I could be anyone!
I felt so bad for those cats and I wish I’d taken the two kittens at least but I can’t afford them and I already have a dog.
Was thinking of reporting it but to who? And what do I say? I don’t like that my neighbour keeps letting her cats get pregnant and giving away kittens to just anyone?
