No clue if I'm in the right place or not. I've been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition based on a positive HLA-B27 test result, and it's been suggested I consider Humira as a treatment option. There's no chance that I can afford the medication myself, and I know I won't get an appointment with a rheumatologist anytime in the near future. If I were to see a rheumatologist privately (and assuming they agree to prescribe me Humira) could they then get me into the system a little faster? Ie, escalated my case so I could then get the cost of the meds supported by the NHS?

Sorry for what's likely a daft question – just trying to piece it all together.
