Hello again. You’ve all been so helpful thus far. I have another question.

I live in Canada. My grandad is currently living in the UK. In this past year his health has declined majorly, mostly his mobility. I have visited once this year to set up care for him and other necessities, but my job makes it so that I can’t keep visiting on a regular basis.

He travels up and down the stairs each day to get to his bedroom. However, a neighbour has called me today to let me know that his mobility has worsened to the point where she thinks the stairs are a serious safety hazard for him. His neighbours are also quite old, so help from them is out of the question.

I am wondering if there is some kind of service, or what the best way to get his bedroom furniture moved to the downstairs level of his home? I don’t believe this is a service the carers would provide, unless I am wrong about that.

I am looking for options or input from anyone who knows someone that could be contacted, government service or otherwise.

Thanks so much!
