Yesterday I thought a mouse ran out from under my bed. I have cats and live on the top floor of a small block of flats, plus I've lived here 10 years and never seen a mouse. Weird right? In fact it's the biggest and fastest spider I've ever seen in my life. I don't like spiders at all, but I deal with them. This one, though, is unbelievably fast. I'm not joking. It disappeared out of my door into the hallway, scared both cats who scarpered and I didn't see it again so I hoped it was gone. But I hoovered every corner and crevice just in case.
It appeared about an hour ago running towards my bed, I saw it out the corner of my eye. I also still have my henry hoover next to my bed and I couldn't grab the hose and turn it on fast enough. It's running across my room back and forth and disappearing and reappearing as I'm desperately trying to hoover it up.
I can't stop my hands shaking and I've thrown up I'm so shaken up. My chest hurts because my heart is pounding. I haven't been this scared of a spider since I was a child. Every time I think ive finally got it and can chill it's back. It's dodging the hoover and the powerful suction it's so big and fast. I've looked up spider deterrents but none of them appear to be safe for cats. I have no idea what to do, but I know I won't be sleeping at all tonight. So thought I'd come to reddit in the hopes someone else is awake and can tell me how the fuck I can catch this bloody thing! Please.
Or tell me I'm being ridiculous. I know it's an irrational fear but I genuinely am terrified right now 😫
