I (f, 25) went on a first date with a man and it went well, at least from my point of view. During the date he even said that he thinks this might be his best first date ever. I said so as well and I think it was clear that I was interested in him. We texted the day after for a bit but then no communication from both sides for three or four days.

Usually, if I feel like someone is interested in me, they do ask me out again not too long after the first date. This time I asked him out, after some pep talk from my friend, and he did say yes and suggested a day. But since there was barely any communication I feel like he might not be that interested. He also mentioned, that he is more of the leader type guy. He knows that nothing intimate would happen, so I don't think that that could be a reason.

Have you ever said yes to date, knowing that you're not that interested and that you wouldn't pursue this any further? If so, why did you say yes?
