Hey everyone,
I’m a younger teen, and I’ve been realizing that I tend to catch feelings really quickly. Like, all it takes is a nice conversation, some shared interests, or if someone is just genuinely kind to me, and suddenly I start imagining what it would be like to date them or thinking I might be falling for them.
It’s not like I’m trying to rush into anything serious or dramatic, but my feelings get strong really fast, and then I end up feeling kind of down when things don’t go anywhere. I know I’m still young and have plenty of time to figure things out, but I want to learn how to keep my emotions more in check and not idealize people so quickly.
Has anyone else gone through this? How do you keep yourself grounded and take things slow emotionally when you start to like someone?
Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you’re willing to share 🙏
