  1. I just finished doing work in my crawlspace and I didn’t have knee pads for the first day. After 1.5 hours I took a break and bought some. I never needed them in the past but I can feel that mistake now.

  2. Want to know the best thing you can do for your knees? Be a healthy weight. It’s the pounds people pack on that damage knees far more anything else.

  3. Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.

  4. Counter argument: lack of “minor” jumping in our lives makes our knees weak. I swear I felt the best when I was incorporating box jumps and burpees into my routine.

Jumping off the deck of a semi trailer to flat, probably a bad move. 12-18” on the regular in a controlled manner, probably good

  5. 35 and still skateboarding. You can go ahead and get in your rocking chair if you want to but I’m still actively having fun.

  6. Yeah my last car accident aged my knees by like 30 years. I can’t sit on them anymore, can’t run too far/hard, can’t keep the same position for more than 5 minutes.

    But I lived 😁

    Edit: extra ‘o’ for ‘too’

  7. This is men over 30, not men over 60.

If you can’t jump down a few feet in your 30’s (bar past injuries, degenerative conditions, etc) then you really need to see a physiotherapist, go to the gym, lose weight, or whatever is appropriate to address that.

  8. I don’t know where I fit in, I did track when I was in high school and now that I’m 47, my recent MRI showed that I had 50% of my cartilage destroyed and lost. But I push forward, not in a hurry to get any knee replacement surgery

  9. I can jump from very high and be fine. Because I am skinny and have strong legs. And I am fit. Weird, right?

  10. I am 170lbs with water weight, down from 210lbs. I have no desire to get more “swole”. Running is enough punishment without having to worry about 10 or 15 more lbs of muscle.

  11. What do kneepads have to do with being the alternative to jumping off of something?

  12. See, I like doing that. So, I try and not be a fat fuck and to work out a couple times a week.
