Raining in Dresden today, looks like a good day to stay mostly indoors and visit one or two museums/galleries here.
I went to a Syrian restaurant near where I’m staying,in the new part of the centre, very good food indeed and quite inexpensive… it’s nice to have some variety of food!
Tom Lehrer died yesterday, aged 97. That’s what I call a lasting legacy, when a satirist who was mainly active in the 1960s is still remembered so fondly today. RIP

I started this morning with Hold On by Tom Waits and then Famous Blue Raincoat. I don’t know how much one should read into that.
I read that there was a train accident in the south of Germany? I don’t know how it happened, but the train went out of tracks. There are a few casualties, even. The photos look dreadful.
