How early in life do you start planning wedding songs and the day ?

Do you usually plan it when you know who’s gonna be standing at the end of the aisle ?
How early is too early ?

We planned it about a month before the wedding when the wedding planner said “ok you really need to get songs figured out”. As for planning the day itself, we started planning about a year in advance because we needed to book a venue and those go quickly.
I never really gave it much thought
We planned songs about three months before our wedding. I wouldn’t say plan it early in life as your preferences for music might change and your partner will want input too. We planned the actual wedding once I got engaged.
Considering a wedding day is about two people, I would say that the right time would be when you have agreed to marry another person.
I planned how to avoid one.
We eloped. 10/10 decision.
We planned the songs as we planned the rest of the wedding. All done after the proposal, during our 11 months engagement.
I have no interest in getting married, so never, I guess.
I planned my wedding as a teenager. All I need is a husband lol
42 and never.
A wedding would be my idea of hell! A healthy, happy marriage tho….the absolute dream!
Never.
I’ve never done that.
I only started planning my wedding…when I was actually planning the wedding. Wedding songs were a playlist made about two weeks before the actual wedding. I was never one to have big ideas about my “dream” wedding. About the only thing I did know was what kind of dress I wanted, I always knew I wanted to wear a traditional Chinese wedding dress (red cheongsam).
There is nothing wrong with dreaming about a big day like that, but actual planning is something that I think should happen with a partner when there is a wedding to plan.
That being said, I have been with my partner for 3 months and I totally have a playlist of sappy love songs that make me think of him in these early stages and if we get married I am for sure diving into this playlist for some of those wedding songs 😅
This has never occurred to me. Eloping all the way, yay!!
I planned every detail and stored it all in a cute box. I gave that box to someone for ideas for her wedding after I realized it ain’t happening anytime soon lol 💔
I never planned anything until I was actually getting married. I never cared much about wedding stuff so I didn’t walk around through life and thought about it happening one day.
I always thought about the dress but then I realized that I just really love dressing up. I never thought I’d get married so I never bothered to think of a dream wedding. The wedding I did have was very intimate and lovely 😊
I never once bothered thinking about any of that until there was an actual event that needed to be planned. I didn’t even know if I ever wanted to be married; I never spent any time planning for a wedding until it was necessary.
I only know the song to walk down the aisle. But I think everyone is different. But yeah. Once I knew the guy was the one i started picturing that moment. Only that song.

I started planning songs with my fiance ca. 3 weeks before the wedding. The day itself, maybe 3 months before. While I wish I would have had some ideas already earlier on, which would have saved me the headache of doing all the research and decisions within this relatively short and stressful planning period, I’m sort of happy that I had a much more realistic outlook and lower chance to be disappointed this way.
Ah I’m at an age where I’m thinking what I’d like played at my funeral 😂 but when I got married, we picked music which meant something to both of us.
Im 49.and was married a couple decades ago. I never planned wedding songs.
Maybe once I have a fiancé. But since I’m still dating, I feel like it’s way too early for that. I do have a few options right now but nothing serious yet.
My husband and I worked out the details of our wedding about two weeks before it happened haha. We’d been engaged about a year already, but it was just a small ceremony on our favourite beach, only three guests attending, nothing afterwards besides going to the pub with those same three friends… and that was it. So about two weeks beforehand we arranged the day and time with the woman who officiated and then met up with her at the spot on the beach to discuss a few things, a couple days before my husband went to the florist and asked them for the bouquet I wanted and he picked it up the morning of the wedding, and that was all. Oh actually I bought the sundress I wore about a month prior. But, yeah. No significant advance planning.
