I compiled a list of foods/dishes/drinks I thought would be popular or interesting to people abroad in a quest to answer that question.

Many people in the US have a fixation on European products- Italian and French bread, cheese and wine being the most popular. I wonder is the same thing true in reverse? I’ve compiled a list of American products I think would be popular/interesting overseas, and if you enjoy any of it, let me know!(but don’t buy it because all that tariff money will go into Trump’s pocket and fuck that guy.)

Now I am fully aware that many of these food/drinks do not originate in the US, and were brought over from people across the seas. But over the years they have been given a unique American style and identity- and that makes them American in the same way I am!

I am genuinely interested in sharing my culture with people across the sea- especially now with all the contention and anger. If you do not know any of the dishes listed and want an American definition and opinion feel free to ask! Love from USA!

Drinks- Coca Cola(cola in general), Sweet/Iced tea, Root Beer, Kentucky Bourbon, American Whiskey, Californian wine

Sandwiches-Philadelphia Cheesesteak, Rueben Sandwiches, lobster rolls

Dessert – Pecan Pie, S’mores, and Cheesecake

Barbecue- Barbecue Ribs, Brisket

Chicken- Fried Chicken, Buffalo Chicken wings

Misc-Clam Chowder, American style Mac and Cheese, Jambalaya, Gumbo, Chicken Fried Steak, Biscuits and Gravy(both the terms biscuit and gravy refer to different foods than in America than elsewhere)
