Motion capture actress for video games. It was so. much. fun. And I was lucky enough to work with great teammates and directors and crews, which made the whole thing even more enjoyable. And damn but the pay was enjoyable too !
My current job as a cyber security software engineer
-Can work completely remotely, allowing me to travel as much as I want
-6 figure salary starting
-Can go literal days without needing to do anything while still getting paid
-Work with a lot of fellow nerds who I can talk with about video games and anime
-Sometimes people bring in video game consoles to play in the office
-Deadlines are insanely easy to make
Only thing that sucks about it are the requirements are steep.

Working at a funeral home with literally the best people!! Most don’t work there anymore but I still have a few coworkers I’m close to. My boss is also really understanding. The benefits of the job are minimal but having understanding people kinda makes up for it.
i used to work at a bakery!! it was so fun, i miss it.
I was a bartender on a beach for a few years and it was amazing.
unfortunately i don’ have a job that i loved, i only loved people i worked with
My first job out of school.
I moved all the way to Nevada from Virginia and I worked for a copper exploration company.
I got to look at rocks all day and I got to write about rocks all day and I got to make cool graphics illustrating resource deposition.
I loved that job more than anything.
Camp counselor when I was 16
My student job during the covid lockdowns. I worked 20h a week, but I only had 20h of work during one week of the month. The rest of the time it was more like 2-5h. Pay was very decent for a student job (19€/h if I remember correctly), the company produced something very useful I got great discounts on and since it was from home I was basically just paid to sleep and watch tv.
I was a night shift nurse at a children’s hospital for 6 years. The pay wasn’t amazing but those quiet moments of holding tiny hands and seeing sick kids smile made everything worth it. Sometimes I’d sing Disney songs during their treatments and their faces would just light up.
serving ice cream hahah

My current job as a project manager of a graphic design firm.
The management portion recognizes me as a leader in my niche, but I still get to do a lot of the hands-on work as well due to my particular skillet and the way my company is structured.
I’m doing good. And I’m doing well.
Ive hated every single job i have worked except for urban outfitters back in college. That was fun
I was an embedded tutor. You would get paid to sit in on a specific class then you would get about 4-8 hours a week where you’d get your own classroom and could give out work/kind of teach a study hall type thing. I used to make coloring pages, write songs, make games, make worksheets, etc. It was so fun and I could directly see the impact I was doing on student’s lives.
My current job. It’s low stress, it pays well, and I work hybrid.
Beach lifeguard and (locally owned) pet shop employee were the only 2 jobs I’ve ever liked haha
I was a gorge guide at Lost River Gorge in NH. Most beautiful spot, best shape of my life, rain or shine. I loved that job.
Summer camp counselor for kids with disabilities. Sure the days were long and exhausting but watching a kid swim or climb for the first time? Worth every second. Still keep in touch with some of them 15 years later.
Barista at a small café chill vibe, free coffee, and regulars who felt like friends
A summer job as a server somewhere in California while I was in school. The weather was perfect, and all the patrons were incredibly the best and the sweetest. 10/10 would go back to that gig if I didn’t care for big money in life.
Activity Aide for an assisted living facility. I did morning exercise with the residents- sometimes I would alternate between independent and assisted care residents. I’d play music sometimes and get them grooving. Other activities would be nail-painting for the ladies, Bingo (that was their favorite lol), Trivia etc. I loved getting to know them. Some of them were lowkey grumpy lol but I managed to get them to warm up to me. I had lots of bizarre experiences. It was exhausting, running around crazy all day but it felt so meaningful knowing I made their days special.
I’d love to get back into that or even be an activities director… sadly, not many jobs are available like this near me and they pay close to nothing.
