So I’m an avid tanner in the US and use to work at a tanning salon. So I’ve used the strongest beds on the full time frequently. I used a European tanning bed for the first time yesterday, only did 12 minutes because the fact you can do 15 in any bed scared me. The lady at the desk warned me, “our beds are stronger than yours are you sure?” I said yeah I tan all the time I’m not worried. So I go for the 12 minutes and get out. I looked a little red but that’s normal especially when there’s no AC in the building and you just got out of a tanning bed. I am more burnt than I have ever been in my 21 years of life. I am so burnt, you can see the outline of the swimsuit ties on my back as if they were spray painted on. I never really burn, and if I do it’s slight and turns to tan. But when I tell yall I am tomato red, I’m not kidding. My entire body looks like I have never seen the sun a day in my life and used a tanning bed for the first time. Moving, sitting, breathing, HURTS. Are yalls regulations different or something? Because this is insane and I’m actually curious on how these beds are so much stronger than the plethora that I have used in the US. I tried to do some research but all the sites on google SWEAR there’s really no difference but I call bs. Does anyone have an answer to this? Because I’m genuinely curious how in the hell these beds are so damn strong.
