Was wondering if it is easy to find places to stay in Italy on the fly. Like if I were to travel from Naples to Florence, how easy would it be to find a place to sleep in that very day?

  1. Depending on time of year, public holidays, and your willingness to spend if necessary and slum it if necessary, yes.

  2. Shouldn’t be an issue, but price, quality or both might not be ideal.

  3. If you plan on using apps such as Airbnb or Booking, many hosts (especially the better ones with higher cleaning standards) require at least 24-48 hours of advance notice, so keep that in mind.

  4. I’ve travelled a few times without a plan. In some cases I resorted to asking random people in the supermarket if they had a room for rent. In most cases they knew someone who knew someone who knew someone who had.

  5. Except for sea town in August should not be a problem.

As many other said, the best offer get booked with months in advance, you will get the remaining
