  1. I didn’t think I’d live to see the day Reform UK became the largest party in the polls for the next election. They’ve had some success in a recent by-election (one of the safer labour seats even) and local elections. The AfD might also be the largest party in Germany after some recent polling, largely due to the CDU losing support even before they had much of a chance to govern. Elections are an eternity away in both cases, but being in the driver’s seat is generally bad for popularity after a long time. And “a long time” isn’t so long in the 2020s.

There’s sometimes room for some subtle, dry humour even at YLE, Finland’s national broadcasting company: In an article about a parasite that spreads among moose and can in some cases infect people, too, a journalist has published a photo of a moose, and the caption finishes with the words “the moose individual in the picture is not related to the case”.   3. Last morning swim this morning, heading back to Palermo later today.

    The sea is still too cold for me at this time of year, but it’s bearable for a short period 😉

    Air temperature is nice though!

    Now just 4 weeks of solid work,up until the end of May.
