Another public holiday today, and in fact with the ‘bridge’ tomorrow, another long weekend! Work has been very disjointed in these last few weeks.
Anyway we are heading to the Egadi Islands for a few days,off the west coast of Sicily.Hopefully the weather will be good, forecast is promising.
I’m reading a nice article about kitchen objects that have been passed down from older generations or other people and are still used in the kitchen, and how using them can remind you of the person who is no longer around.For whatever reason!
Some of these are passed on from grandparents who have died, others have simply divorced or separated, for example.
I have almost nothing in my kitchen which I didn’t buy,or which wasn’t a present…. very few objects given to us by my partner’s mother, but nothing from grandparents etc
How about you? Do you have an ancient tin opener or coffee pot? Or a set of grapefruit spoons from the 19th century?
