Hi, I don't know if it's good place to ask such question, but I've not found any better place.
My grandma has a sister in Germany whenever she visited us she gave my grandma Euros as a gift (for accommodation). She has some old Euro banknotes from 2002 (including bigger ones like 500€ or 200€). Normally I'd say money is money so they are valid, but I've heard 500€ and 200€ banknotes are being withdrawed. Normally in where I live (Poland) this process is carried out by banks so normal people don't have to bother about that. I haven't manage to find any trustworthy and complex sources on that in Polish media. Are this banknotes still valid? Can it be replaced with new ones somewhere? Can we have problems paying with it in Euro-zone countries?
