Do you have many relations from different countries?

I'm Irish. Here it's uncommon for us to have many relations other countries aside from kids of family members who emigrated. Off the top of my head I had an Uncle who was Basque, an uncle who was Danish and an Aunt who was Vietnamese. All through marriage.

Is it common on the Continent to have relations from other countries? Is there any family you have a language barrier with? Eg being Swedish but Finnish uncles, aunts and cousins ect.
