  1. The Taliban decided women’s voices were obscene and banned them from singing or speaking loudly a little while ago which kind of reminds me of documentaries about 1990s Afghanistan. I don’t think I’ve heard of another country ever doing the same or discussing whether women’s voices are obscene. Truly a unique idea. Actually, it looks like there’s one Turkish politician who thought women laughing is obscene now I look about that online.

    (Remember that the federal “traffic light” government is comprised of SPD, Greens, and FDP)
    For the first time since WW2 a right-wing extremist party received the most votes in a state election. At least nobody wants to govern with them… so far. The alternatives are not looking too rosy either though, the BSW *will* have to be involved in one way or another in both state governments.

  3. I fuelled the car yesterday.   

    Fuck it’s expensive.

    I don’t drive a lot since some time, so the last time I got fuel was… Apparently very long ago! Later I told my husband “wasn’t it like 1.49??” and he was like, babe are you okay? That’s was back during the pandemic.  

    Good that I invested in a fast bike.

    What was your last “when did this become so expensive?”

  4. Today is Labor Day here in the U.S. of A. so I’ll be relaxing in between my planned events of cooking a pot of white chili and attending a fantasy football draft.

    Has anyone here competed in a fantasy sport league, or have any interest?
