Can you claim your birthplace as your hometown even if you weren’t raised there?

Alright so I was born in Paddington, West London, but started living in Croydon, South London from 3 weeks old mostly till age 12.

Although I say I am from Croydon, cause that’s where I lived as a kid and half of my schooling /relationships was in Croydon.

I do feel Paddington is home despite not being raised there, cause it’s my 1st home
