There's a popular short story by Anton Ćehov, A Horsey Name, in which a retired general has a toothache, his steward knows a tooth-whisperer, but can only remember that his last name has something to do with horses. The whole household then tries to come up with every possible horsey name to stir his memory to no avail, and only the doctor that finally comes and pulls the tooth out does that.

So, are horse and horse-adjacent family names common in your country?
