I have mostly been going to work in the afternoon this week, so I didn’t see that much of my colleagues. Yesterday, one that I hadn’t seen in a while threw me a Yusuf Dikec bored assassin salute in the hallway. It is so weird. My colleagues don’t do memes. Or so I thought.
I read that Imane Khelif is suing a bunch of people including Joanne and Elon Musk for defamation. Good for her. I don’t know if there will be a lot of “but free speech!!” protests but I guess free speech doesn’t apply to how you talk about individual people to the same degree? I don’t know, laws vary from country to country, probably. I hope she’s successful and her family lives in prosperity for the rest of their lives. At least Joanne seems to have stopped tweeting for now, so that’s something good at least.
When we advertise job openings, we always (have to) use “m/w/d” so male, female, diverse. I think most people don’t really think about it, or just get grumpy and mildly inconvenienced that they have to change their usual ways. How do you guys coming from countries with gendered languages advertise job opening? Do you have to specify anything regarding gender?
I have 12 workdays left until i leave my job, apartment and country for good and go on a 3 years around the world trip with my wife 😤 Been saving and waiting 3 years for this moment and I’m not a patient guy.
