Apparently I heard that when Poland first joined the EU, there was a rule being thrown around that Polish people had to wait 10 years to get free movement, and only Britain said no to it. Did this really happen?

And Austria had restrictions on Croatian free movement until 2020. I was shocked to know about this, as I thought that free movement was a pillar of the EU and this came off as blatant discrimination as both Austria and Croatia were in the EU.

Apart from Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland, do all citizens of member states (from the poorer EU countries like Bulgaria and Croatia, to the richest like Sweden and Netherlands) get FULLY equal free movement rights (Schengen not counted)?
