How popular was Kylie Minogue in your country during the prime of her career? I know she was huge in the UK, but was she as big as Madonna or Britney in continental Europe?

Here in the U.S. she’s only had chart success on a couple of occasions for reasons unknown to me, but I’ve read/heard that she was almost as big as Madonna in much of the world, so I want to know if this is true or an exaggeration.
